Uma Mahadevan MDProfessor of MedicineDirector, Colitis and Crohn's Disease Center University of California, San Francisco Dr. Mahadevan is a global expert in the management of pregnancy in IBD and the principal investigator for PIANO which she launched in 2007. She has multiple publications, review articles and book chapters on the subject as well as others in the field of IBD. She has an interest in education and is a founder of the GUILD Conference, Director of the UCSF IBD Updates course and Director of the UCSF Advanced IBD Fellowship. She is a recipient of the American Gastroenterology Association Research Mentor Award (2022) and the Sherman Prize (2022). | ||
Millie D. Long MD, MPHProfessor of MedicineDirector, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship Program University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Dr. Long's clinical practice is at the UNC Multidisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) center. Her research interests include prevention of complications of IBD, women's health and clinical epidemiology. Dr. Long has contributed numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and review articles to the medical literature. She is currently Co-Investigator on the PIANO cohort where she focuses on clinical epidemiology and data analysis. She is also Co-Director of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation Clinical Research Alliance, a collaborative of investigators performing clinical outcomes research in IBD. She is Co-Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Gastroenterology. | ||

Wenli Chen MS, MAProgrammer and Web DeveloperData Management Center Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Wenli Chen has extensive experience with web-development systems for clinical research in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). She has been lead programmer for a number of IBD registries including PIANO (Pregnancy in IBD and Neonatal Outcomes), IBD Partners Patient Powered Research Network and PREVENT-COVID (Partnership to report Effectiveness in Vaccination in populations Excluded from Initial Trials of Coronavirus Disease). |
