The Global Consensus Conference:
Pregnancy and IBD
2024
North America Latin America Europe Africa Asia Australia
The PIANO study is proud to sponsor the first global consensus conference and international guideline statement in pregnancy and IBD. Over the course of a year, an international team of gastroenterologists, surgeons, maternal fetal medicine specialists, PhDs and patient advocates will prepare evidence-based recommendations surrounding all aspects of pregnancy in women with IBD: from fertility, to pregnancy and delivery, to infant outcomes.

We will use a vigorous process (GRADE) to ensure the accuracy and clinical importance of all recommendations. Ultimately, we hope that the global expertise and perspective that goes into these international guidelines will improve the lives of women with IBD and their children around the world. We thank our global team of investigators for their commitment to this effort. Please continue to check this page for updates and results from the Consensus Conference.
